As a general answer I completely agree with you. If a woman is capable of working, the man should not be required to support her. There are situations, however, where I feel alimony is warranted. There are women who have, at their husband's request, stayed home, raised the children and have limited qualifications required for the job marked of today. IF the marriage is dissolved and the woman was found to be at NO FAULT in causing the breakup or in the marriage, I feel she should be awarded alimony. I am not an advocate of women taking advantage of men due to divorce, but there are cirstances where I feel alimony is warranted.

Fancy goldfish gasping for air?

I have 5 fancy goldfish in a 75 gal. The water perimeters are 0 nitrites, 0 nitrates 7.0 ph. The amonia level is a little high at 0.5 so I put in some amonia neutralizr. I've only had them for 2 weeks. I found out my filter wasn't working properly and they got a case of ich. I got a newfilter the othe day. I gave them super ich cure - 2 doses and it appears the ich is gone. Today, I found one of them dead so I did a 30% water change and put the carbon back in my filter. What do we do about our mobile home?

10 years ago my wife and I eloped and bought a brand new doublewide mobile home in Tampa, FL. It sits in a nice mobile home park, but we pay rent on the land and have paid on our 30 year fixed mortgage faithfully ever since. We have excellent credit, but our combined incomes are not allowing us to do more than keep up with the bills we already have. So here is the question...how do we get out of our mobile home and into a house? Is my daughter slowly developing a cat allergy?

My 4 year old is randomly breaking out ino itchy hives (not always or upon contact with our 2 cats) and has red, itchy eyes quite a bit. Sometimes, there is sneezing and a bit of a runny nose. None of these things are consistently bad, but none-the-less, they do occur about every 2nd or 3rd day and Benadryl seems to clear it up quickly. Nothing else in her environment has changed...can this still be a cat allergy if she doesn't immediately break out upon contact with them?

Painful testicular lump?

I am 27 215 and 6'2 I work a stressfull job and never eat right, I go on diets for like a day and then I reach for a coke or candy bar or four cause I get stressed and coke seems to help. so i just had my mirena iud removed 4/13... two weeks ago... i had unprotected the day before is was removed and just about every other day since. i didnt bleed much when the iud was removed... it was light and lasted for about a day and a half... 3 days after i stopped bleeding i bleed a tiny bit... just showed on my panties a bit and when i wiped... that lasted about 3 hours. could that have been implantation maybe? well... now it is 2 weeks later and im tired, im getting headaches, my feel much heavier and my are sensitive, ive had small cramps in my uterus, ive been constipated, ive been having hot flashes and then chills, ive been more hungry, had some mood swings, and ive been queasy but havent thrown up.... im 20 years old and in perfect health... before the iud i had normal periods and during the iud i had light periods with minor cramping and ive been going pee more... i know its 2 early to take a hpt... but I REALLY HOPE IM HAVING A BABY! and i cant get off the internet and stop researching my symptoms... so i thought i would see what others thought :) so... do you think im pregnant or its just iud removal?

Dell laptop owners - what do you think of the screen?

I am seriously considering getting the 1405 but I've read several reviews that say the screen is a pain. It does seem very mirror-like and reflective. Some say it's tough to view if well lit environments w/the TrueLife display. I've even seen people write that the screen makes it almost un-useable. What do you think of my idea for a tattoo?

I've wanted this tattoo for awhile now and I am sure about it. I want to get the word amore (it's the Italian for love) on the back of my neck. This is something I have thought of for a long time and it's not something I'm doing on the fly I have put thought into it. I was thinking of getting it done in cursive lettering on the base of my neck where the neck meets the shoulder or just under where the hairline ends on your neck. My 15 year old stepson has become unbearable to live with he swears,shouts and has no manners what can I do?

My 15 year old stepson moved in with my husband our daughter and I 18 months ago as he said he hated his mother and didnt want to see her again - she said he had become very difficult. He promised to improve his behaviour and learn to help in house a little and be able top do things for himself (was very molly coddled). Things were okay but recently he has become very close to his mother again (I'm pleased) but now his behaviour has become over time unbearable he shouts swears has no manners and says he hates both myself and husband. I am worried this is effecting my daughter who is 5 as she is trying to copy some of his behaviour. I feel I have lost control of the situation this has not been helped by my husband who has always taken a dim view of my previous firm parenting and sometimes did not support me when I feel we should have been diciplining him. Horse Training Help!?

I asked before, but only got one answer- how do you get a horse used to a bridle? I've never had a problem training to accept a bit before, but I got this 3 yr old QH a few weeks ago- supposed to be ridden already, and he won't accept a bit- a lot of head tossing, striking. His teeth are fine, and I'm trying to put it on the correct way, with a lot of coaxing and slowly. It seems he may have been nose twitched. I've been working with him accepting me touching his nose, but he knows and hates the bridle already. They didn't say that they used a hackamore. Any suggestions? I'm not looking to hire a trainer- I've trained horses with the bridle before, but they were green and this one seems to have a problem- due to possible twitching. Help please!

Okay, this one took me days and alot of thinking to get this right. what i did was two outfits with a skirt and three with capris. YOU DO NEED CAPRIS... i tried pants and it didn't work. try to do all outfits in about the same light blue shade. they want light blue because its a spring collection. k. my pant outfits were a shirt from the first design t-shirt length in a light blue with capris of the first three pants. do the first three neck lengths and not the last, because it cannot be a t-shirt. for my first skirt outfit, i did they second shirt with the embroidered detail in a t-shirt (whichever neck length you choose) with the second skirt with the embroidered detail in shortest length. for my final outfit, i did the fourth shirt with the grey sleeves t-shirt length with the fourth skirt with grey stripes in shortest length. again, try to do these outfits in the same, light blue color. have fun and good luck. after this, you are done with missions and can design your own outfits and such.... My girlfriend has been sick for about 2 weeks now and no one knows whats wrong. We have been to the doctor, the ER, a chiropractor, and optometrist and talked to a neurologist. Basically she started off getting migraines she took imitrex and it took an er visit with an iv to get her migraines to go away. These migraines caused her to have impaired vision and the ER doctor said that her vision would eventually come back. Its now a week later and she is still not seeing correctly. We went to to her eye doctor and her eye doctor said that the nerves behind her eyes are severely swollen and we need to see an ophthalmologist. We cant get her in until Thursday but we want results sooner so im hoping someone can give us some home remedies. She is vomiting she complains that the top of her head is numb and she is currently warding off more headaches with ibuprofen. Confusing disability insurance questions!?

I recently had surgery on my right for a removal of a lump (lumpectomy). This surgery occurred on Friday September 17th 2010. My employer only gave me 3 paid sick days and 1 paid personal day. This is how I'm getting payed for the week following my surgery due to my absence...Sun 19th and Mon 20th were my days off the 21st was my personal day the 22-24 are my 3 sick days. When I went to my doctor's office to schedule my surgery she gave me a note stating that I was allowed to return to work on the 25th. The note was faxed to my employer therefore I'm scheduled to return to work on the 25th. After my surgery the doctor told me she would be seeing me in 2 weeks. I called her office and they told me that I'm not to return to work until I see her. Because she's going to be out of town for a few days there are only 2 appointments available. One of them would be Thrus. Sept 30th and the other would be Tues. Oct. 12th. That would mean that I would be at a loss of pay starting the 25th of Sept. This is where this starts to get complicated. I need to have another surgery done by the end of this year. I need to have 3 wisdom teeth removed surgically. this would mean that I would be out of work for another week for sure. I'm thinking that if I attend my appointment on Sept. 30th I would for sure be released to return to work immediately. If I attend my appointment on Oct. 12th I could apply for Disability and serve my waiting period and collect a few days worth of benefits. I have an appointment set with my dentist on Sept. 30th. I'm wondering that if there are any immediate appointments available with my dentist to get my wisdom teeth removed if it would be possible to remain on disability and get this other procedure done as well. what is the most financially smarter thing to do. Keep in mind that I'm trying to make sure I don't miss out on money opportunities if that makes any sense. I like many other people have bills to pay lol And unfortunately I contribute the majority of the money to my family. I recently purchased a Sean Taylor jersey on eBay which turned out to be fake (I have confirmed this with several sources including Reebok and the Washington Redskins), I tried to resolve this issue with the seller by sending him a very polite email, not accusing him of anything, but asking for a refund of my money, when he didnt respond I opened up a claim with PayPal which I may have to escallate because the seller still isnt responding. What is wrong with the dryer?

I had a large comforter in our dryer this afternoon and it finished the cycle. I added a little more time to the dryer because it wasn't completely dry yet. That time it stopped halfway between the cycle. The lint trap is cleaned out. I took the vent hose off the back of the dryer and that is cleaned out. I thought maybe it was a blown fuse, but the washer is plugged into the same outlet and it is just fine. What else can I do to get it to work??

Does anyone REALLY know the difference between progressive lenses???

I have had 5 different progressive lenses with no luck except for Varilux. The optometrist suggested I stay with them since they are the top of the line in progressive lenses. The last time I had my prescription changed was about 5 years ago. Is the price witn Varilux and any other progressive lense about the same or is Varilux much more expensive? I think you should go dark brown for a couple reasons. First of all dark brown is really chic and in for fall. It's basically a new hair trend. Second, blonde would wash out and make you look pale with your fair complexion. You have really pretty skin, but dying it blonde might make you look lighter and especially light blondes could look albino, no offense-you're skin tone is pretty, just with the blonde!

Why is my system freezing up?

I recently installed a 2-port USB 2.0 card and a 3-port FireWire card. The Device Manager sees the cards with no conflicts. I have a digital camera works fine when connected to the USB 1.1 but not USB 2.0. When it fails, the system freezes up and the only way to free it up is to reboot. I also have a video camera that works fine when connected to a Pinnacle MovieBox which is then fed to the USB 2.0. However, when I connect the video camera directly to the FireWire card, the system freezes up and the only way to free it is to reboot.

How to stop waking up late?

I have this horrible habbit in the summer to sleep in late. I just cant get out of bed. Infant gas?

My little boy (8 months) has an unbelievable amount of infant gas. I give him Mylicon and gripe water regularly, but it only helps sometimes. Mostly, he's not bothered by the gas and it doesn't seem to hurt him, but sometimes you can tell that his little tummy is really uncomfortable. I give him cereal for breakfast, homemade fruit puree for lunch, and dinner is usually a jar meal like turkey & spinach or chicken noodle dinner. I have just about had it at this point! LOL! I am almost 30 years old and never had a girlfriend, only gone on 2 dates and haven't had my first kiss yet! There is nothing wrong with me physically, I am in decent shape and dress nicely. I am employed and educated. I am religious and involved with my community. I am also a devoted family man who chooses to live with his parents and other adult siblings, because I enjoy being around them and contributing to the family (not financially though, parents won't take money LOL). My boyfriend has been acting strange in the last couple of months. For a couple of years the has been super amazing, hands down. Now he refuses to make love to me, but, demands that I suck his . 7 months pregnant, what else do we need to buy?

A carrier would be nice. They allow you to carry baby, but to keep your hands free...really useful during the first weeks/mos. I use the Ergobaby carrier, and I really like it. Also, one of those teddy bears that plays womb sounds...not an essential, but my baby found it soothing. Gas medicine is good to have on hand...either Mylicon or Baby's Bliss (all natural). Some of them have a lot of gas at first. Buy lots of diapers and food for the first couple weeks, because you might not want to leave the house for awhile. I didn't venture out until day 6, and then not again til week 2 or so. If you are going to feed, a Boppy or something like it is good, too, and have some good books on hand if you like to read. They nurse a lot at first, so it's nice to have something to do while nursing. Congrats! Get as much rest as possible now:)

He cheated on me, now I want to die?

Lately I was dating this guy for the last 2 months. Things had been seeming to go well. and then he kept getting weird about the commitment thing. He started to get freaked out when we started seeing eachother a lot...and then things got more serious. I started getting annoyed by his behavior and didn't know what to think about it. Always pulling me close and pushing me away. At one point I told him I needed a little bit of time to think about things, and he wasnt happy about it. I thought he had feelings for me. And only me. That's what he told me...I talked to his sister though after this happened, and her only response was "yeah thats mac." I guess he does this type of thing repedatively with different girls. And never settles for long. So this new girl I have no idea what shes like. But i dont know i feel like hes not going to do it to her, and I was the only one taking his crap. Can anyone offer some comfort? I don't know why hed go behind my back and do that.

Replacement windows...is this worth it?

This May we are having replacement windows installed in our home. The company that's doing our 10 double-hung windows gave us a quote today on replacing our large front floor-to-ceiling bay window. (This window, by the way, is original - it was built with the house in the '40's.) $1,700 for 2 panes of tempered gl, new muttons and framework, and aluminum capping on the outside. My question pertains to something another company we received a quote from told us: that we'd need to have the entire thing ripped out and re-installed (i.e. - new construction). Their estimate, of course, was more than double the one we got today. What's the best way to go? Can this type of window be replaced, or do we really need to save up for an entirely new structure? We don't plan on living in this house for the next 30 years, but I would like for the job to be done right. Thanks.
