How do we go from dates to boyfriend /girlfriend?

8 wks is definitely not too early or too late. Has he mentioned anything about past relationships? Maybe that has something to do with it. Also, maybe in his mind you two are bf/gf since you are dating/kissing/talking about future. Keep in mind that it doesn't need to have a label on it to be a relationship. When I first got w/my bf we went on dates & hung out allllll the time, but I was too cautious to actually consider it a real relationship, but it didn't mean that I didn't want one or that I wasn't interested. If you want a relationship with him, then the key is to communicate & put everything in the open. Don't think too much into it or it may make it awkward. If you are too awkward to say it in person, just IM or Facebook chat or w/e & ask him what he thinks about it. & also know where you stand before u start the convo. How would u deal if he didn't want a real relationship? would u still continue what you are doing or look for someone else. doesn't help to rehearse just a bit :)
