When you were a kid, let's say 8 to 10 years old, what was your special, your favourite T.V. Show, and WHY?

......."Gilligan's Island"...my brother and I would have our s glued to the floor in front of the new color TV.....everyday at 3:30....it was a funny show ,and exotic to us....Mary Ann was hot , and Ginger too.......OK.....I can't help myself here.....there was also the Beverly Hillbillies, I Love Lucy , Andy Griffeth ,Gomer Pyle ,Lost In Space ,The Munsters, Hawaii Five O ,Mannix ,Gunsmoke ,Dark Shadows , Batman ,The Honeymooners , the Three Stooges......my parents didn't make us watch anything that I can remember....that was back when you had three channels that went off at midnight , and three jets flew over, on the TV , while the Star Spangled Banner played....then there was just static and fuzzy lines on the screen.......we also had an air cooler , that was a window unit....like an air conditioner....kind of.....you put ice cubes and water down the back of it, and it blew barely cool air , till the ice melted.....I swear........the fridge was turquoise....the car was turquoise.....the carpet was either red , or harvest gold....lol.....the stereo in the front room looked like a coffin , with paper cone speakers on both sides.....crappy record player in the middle top....the exterior was phony wood veneer...and everybody had one in their living room...usually they were several hundred dollars....in the 60's amd 70's.....boy....I wish I had been selling those......educational?.....Walter Cronkite was the final answer for the world , with his nightly...."and that's the way it is ....on (whatever date it was)".......cars had skirts, and women had hose on their legs.....TVs were fat, and I was thin......now.......TVs are thin , and I am fat.......sigh......(not real fat.....just a little)........see what you started?......
