Ok im having a litte trouble downloading music.....?

ok i have one of the new ipod nanos and my mom doesnt want me and my brother having limewire..etc. on the computer so i look on websites but every time i download them i cant find where they go after that.cause if i want to make a video for youtube on WMM and i browse my music its not there but it works fine for my brother?....help please?
