What should i do if the attorney that I hired keeps avoiding me every time I call?

Well about 4 years ago I was in a car accident with a friend of mine. I wasn't in it more like we got hit by the car. He got his money once he turned 18 without a problem.(He is 2 years older than me) So I'm 18 and have been trying for weeks now to get in contact with the attorney guy and make an appointment but the secretaries always have an excuse for him. I am planning on using the money for college expenses, so i need it pronto. What do I do? Is this right? I know a while back the secretary had told me that they couldn't find my archive!!! Is there a way to sue these people? Well based on what I just explained can i? Who do i call to do that? I only have about a month before I leave to college. I don't want to leave without taking care of this problem. PLease help!!!!
