What ever became of the the student from Bonny Eagle High School that was denied his diploma?

about a year and a half ago I noticed a story that had gained internet attention, about a student from Bonney Eagle High School named Justin Denny. He was denied his diploma by a pathetic excuse for not only a superintendent, but a human being, just because he blew a kiss to his mom and took a bow. This gained a lot of outrage and I think they held a meeting about it. I also heard his mom demanded an apology and her sons diploma awarded to him by this sbag in person, and his father threatened to seek legal action. For the next year and a half I haven't heard a word about the update on the matter. Does anybody know what ever became of all this??
