Gl ceiling or your imagination?

It depends. It sounds like a bad place to be, lot of Dilbert-like situations in what you describe. But I wouldn't necessarily switch jobs unless I knew what the new job was a definite step up in this case in terms of management and responsibility. Of course, some places have situations where the boss is very intolerant, unprofessional, and screams at you like you were a 5-year-old. I tend to leave those places a lot faster.
