Can someone simplify this down a lot! for me PLEASE?

Millions of years ago, the African landm collided with the Eurasian landm. The collision crumpled the land and pushed it upward to form the Alps. 2 million years ago, glaciers carved deep valleys into the alps. The rocks pushed down the valleys by the glaciers formed dams that blocked streams and eventually the blocked streams grew into lakes.
